About Push

The GitHub iOS app can't create repositories. It has never been able to. Every developer who has had an idea at 2am and wanted to spin up a repo in 90 seconds has been blocked by this gap. Push exists to fill it.

Push treats the GitHub API as the primary interface, not a supplement to local git. Repo creation is a first-class action. Templates are a first-class concept. The entire experience is designed to go from idea to initialized repo in under two minutes, entirely from an iPhone.

Privacy as architecture

Push has no backend that handles your data. No analytics SDK. No crash reporting. Every GitHub API call goes directly from your device to GitHub's servers. Your OAuth token lives in iOS Keychain and never leaves your phone. We built it this way because your code is not our business.
