Terms of Service

Last updated: April 3, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Push ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SI Labs Mobile, Inc. ("we", "us", "SI Labs Mobile") regarding Push.

2. What Push Is

Push is an iOS client for the GitHub REST API. It enables you to manage GitHub repositories, files, issues, pull requests, branches, releases, templates, and SSH keys from your iPhone. Push is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to GitHub, Inc. or Microsoft Corporation.

Push operates on a zero-knowledge architecture. All GitHub API communication happens directly between your device and GitHub's servers. SI Labs Mobile has no backend that handles your data, cannot access your repositories, and cannot see your OAuth token.

3. Your GitHub Account

Push requires a valid GitHub account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub credentials, all activity through Push using your GitHub account, and compliance with GitHub's own Terms of Service.

Actions you take through Push — creating, editing, or deleting repositories, files, branches, issues, pull requests, or other resources — are performed directly against the GitHub API on your behalf. These actions are your responsibility.

4. Permitted Use

You may use Push to manage your personal and organizational GitHub repositories, view and interact with public repositories, create and apply templates, and generate SSH keys — all normal use of a GitHub client.

5. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or analyze the App's compiled code or algorithms except as expressly permitted by applicable law
  • Create derivative works, copies, or modified versions of Push
  • Use Push for automated scraping, bulk data collection, or systematic downloading of GitHub content beyond normal personal use
  • Attempt to circumvent access controls or security measures implemented by Push or GitHub
  • Use Push in any way that violates applicable laws, regulations, or GitHub's Terms of Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Push or access to Push

6. Competitive Analysis and Benchmarking

You may not access or use Push:

  1. To perform competitive analysis or benchmarking of the App's performance, features, or user experience for the purpose of informing the development of a competing product.
  2. To systematically document, measure, or analyze Push's workflows, interaction patterns, UI design decisions, or performance metrics (including response time, rendering performance, or network behavior) for the purpose of replication.
  3. To permit consultants, agencies, or third parties retained to evaluate GitHub clients to access Push under your account for any purpose described in this section.

Exception: Normal use of Push by employees of companies that develop competing products is permitted, provided such use is for the employee's own GitHub work and not for systematic analysis intended to inform competitive product development.

If you are actively developing a competing GitHub client application and wish to use Push, you must disclose this in writing to legal@trypush.io prior to use.

7. Push Pro and In-App Purchases

Push Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks organization repository support, pull request creation and merge workflows, unlimited personal templates (3 included free), community template library access, and unlimited pre-commit syntax checking. It is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device. No subscription. No auto-renewal.

Tip Jar purchases are voluntary contributions that unlock no features.

SI Labs Mobile does not process payments directly. Refund requests must be directed to Apple.

8. Templates

Personal templates are stored locally on your device. You own them fully.

By publishing a template to the community library, you grant SI Labs Mobile a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to distribute it. You retain ownership and may request removal at any time.

Community templates must not include malware, credentials, content violating third-party IP rights, GitHub's Acceptable Use Policies, or personally identifiable information without consent.

9. Account Deletion

Uninstall Push to remove all local data. Community template removal: legal@trypush.io (30 days). Apple maintains purchase history independently.

10. Your Data

SI Labs Mobile cannot access your data. Your OAuth token is in your iOS Keychain. Your repository content is on GitHub's servers. Your cached app data and personal templates are on your device. You own everything you create through Push.

11. Intellectual Property

Push, including its design, branding, user interface, and the "Frosted Terminal" design language, is the property of SI Labs Mobile, Inc. All rights reserved. The Push name and logo are trademarks of SI Labs Mobile, Inc.

12. Third-Party Services

Push depends on the GitHub API. We do not control GitHub's availability, performance, or data practices. When you use Push, you are also subject to GitHub's Terms and GitHub's Privacy Policy. Purchases are subject to Apple's App Store terms.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PUSH LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to SI Labs Mobile in the preceding twelve months, or (b) fifty US dollars ($50).

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify SI Labs Mobile from claims arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or violation of third-party rights.

16. Termination

We may suspend access to Push for conduct violating these Terms. Where curable, we will provide 30 days to remedy. You may stop using Push at any time.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. For EU/UK users: nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under local consumer protection laws.

19. Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
